This model has been tested in Balb/c mice (Taconic Labs), 6-8 weeks old. Other mouse strains could potentially be used as long as they can mount an inflammatory response.

 

Induction of asthma: Administer 0.1 ml intranasally each day for 4 consecutive days. 

 

IMPORTANT: mix solution well before pipetting and administration, as the solution contains immune complexes. Mice can be sacrificed on day 5.
